
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT
OF BRISTOL METAL SPRAYING & PROTECTIVE COATINGS LTD incorporating PROTECTIVE RUBBER COATINGS (LIMPETITE) LTD AND THE BARRIE PAYNE GROUP LTD

It is the Company policy to take full account of the environmental implications of its operations and to protect the natural environment by controlling and minimising the impact that the processes of the Company have on the environment.

the processes of the Company have on the environment.
In particular the Company will:

adopt practices that minimise environmental hazards

minimise waste in all operations

keep all waste safely contained and ensure proper disposal in accordance with statutory requirements

source re-cycled supplies wherever possible

include environmental issues in training programmes and encourage the implementation of sound environmental practices

raise the awareness of environmental issues and ensure they are considered at the early stages of the decision making process
-
monitor and record the use of substances containing Volatile Organic Compounds and other hazardous substances to ensure compliance with current legislation.

carry out Process Emission Testing (Stack Testing), Occupational Exposure Level (OEL) and Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) Testing.

require contractors and sub-contractors to operate in an environmentally responsible manner
-
reduce, minimize or render harmless the release of pollutants to air, land or water by use of the ‘Best Available Techniques Not Entailing Excessive Cost’ (BATNEEC) principle.
The Group works in close partnership with Bristol City Council Environmental Department and holds a valid Air Pollution Control Authorisation certificate.
It is the intention of the Group to work towards meeting the Environmental Standard ISO14001
